Lower beam quality: Nd:YAG lasers have poorer beam quality and higher divergence than fiber lasers, limiting their cutting precision.

Limited power in CW mode: While Nd:YAG lasers excel in pulsed mode, their continuous wave power output is lower than fiber lasers, reducing cutting speed.

Higher maintenance: Like CO2 lasers, Nd:YAG lasers have more consumable parts and higher upkeep requirements than fiber lasers.
